Ferrari Crashes into Lady
Two women standing outside their house in Lidcombe last night were seriously injured after being hit by a 300,000 Ferrari driven by a 25-year-old, police say. The V12-powered Ferrari 612 Scaglietti crashed into a parked Toyota Camry on The Boulevard, a quiet residential street, about 9pm, police said.
The black Ferrari kept skidding after the impact, knocking over a brick wall on the corner of The Boulevard and Hayes Street, police said. A 40-year-old woman sustained a fractured right leg, while a 68-year-old woman had a fractured pelvis, police said. They were in a stable condition at Westmead Hospital this morning, a hospital spokeswoman said. A resident, who lives across the street, said she ran outside after hearing a "really big crash"."I saw a grandma. She was lying down ... she seemed pretty severely injured," she said."She asked me how the accident happened, and I said I wasn't really sure. The elderly woman's son confronted the 25-year-old driver, accusing him of reckless driving, the resident said.
