The Largest Wedding Show
Thousands of soon-to-be-brides, grooms, best men, and bridesmaids flooded the Crystal Centre in Grande Prairie Sunday for The Largest Wedding Show. With a plethora of photographers, wedding planners, dress retailers, and travel planners, the show was host to almost 100 vendors.
While many weddings are becoming less traditional, one small detail of weddings has seen a big change in the 21st century: The invitation. Many are ditching the old snail mail invitation for the paperless invite. Darcy Coulter, wedding planner for Something Borrowed is a big proponent of electronic invitations, since she has a more eco-friendly approach to weddings.
“It is a cheaper way of doing it as well,” she said. And she added most people aren’t going to keep a wedding invitation as a keepsake. “You can print them off if you want a memento.”
